Condolence: I know it's been a little while since Spike has passed. I wanted to leave my condolences though. As someone who's had bunnies since high school, I know how much they can wriggle into our hearts, nest, and bring us so much love. They trust us with their survival and with their authentic selves, all binkies, chewed clothing ("personalized" I like to call it), and contented cheek pettings and bum scratches. When they're gone, our hearts are left with nibbled edges, and a bun-shaped hole where the bond we had has been broken against our wishes. I never met Spike, although I loved seeing pictures of him. He had such a sweet face that showed some of his personality. I can only hope that we see our little fluffers again one day, either in the next life, or in another incarnation in this one. My heart breaks for your family in this time of loss, because I have felt it myself and wouldn't wish it on you. I wish you strength to get by until time and love can heal the hurt.
